Our story

Kin started because Janna could find supplements she trusted for herself and her kids, but not for Nelson. He was family, but the products made for him did not meet the standard she used for everyone else at home.
Where it began
One morning routine. One dog with a sensitive system.
Janna has taken a probiotic every morning for years, because she knows what a daily one does for her. When her kids got old enough, she gave it to them too.
Then Nelson, her miniature schnauzer, started having stomach issues. He had always been sensitive, so she went looking for the dog version of what she already trusted for herself and her kids.
What she found felt like a compromise. Some products were clinical and hard to love. Others were cute, but the formula felt like an afterthought. Chews did not feel right either. Nelson gains weight easily when extra snacks become part of the daily routine, and Janna did not want his supplement to feel like another reward for the day.
She wanted something functional, simple, and easy to add to the food he already ate.
So she built what she was looking for.
